About Saving Homes

Empowering Families, Saving Homes, and Changing Lives

Our Mission & Vision

Saving Homes is dedicated to empowering and supporting large families and single-parent households facing foreclosure, ensuring they can maintain stable and secure homes for their children. Through financial assistance, guidance, and a wealth of resources, we help families overcome housing challenges, preserve their equity, and lay the foundation for a brighter future.

We want to create a world where affordable housing is a reality for every family.

Our commitment lies in providing compassionate support, implementing innovative solutions, and fostering strong community collaboration. By addressing the affordable housing crisis head-on, we aim to build a future where stable housing is accessible and sustainable for hardworking Americans. Through a combination of creative innovation, financial expertise, and the generosity of our community, we work to save the homes and futures of families facing foreclosure.

A Helping Hand, Not a Free Handout

We believe in offering support, not handouts. Many single parents facing foreclosure are hardworking, thrifty, loving parents doing good work in the world that are experiencing solvable financial challenges or temporary crises. These are the people that teach your children, drive you to the airport, serve your food, clean your local hospital, and all the other many jobs that enrich our lives.

Addressing the Affordable Housing Crisis

As the income gap continues to widen, accompanied by rising prices and increased rental costs, homeownership provides a significant financial advantage over renting. Homeownership allows for the accumulation of equity that can be passed down to future generations or leveraged through a reverse mortgage. With the recent surge in interest rates, escalating rents, and a housing shortage, many individuals find themselves overwhelmed by the economic challenges they face.

Families facing the loss of their homes encounter a bleak reality amidst housing shortages and soaring rents. With limited options available, their situation is further compounded by the foreclosure on their record, making it extremely challenging to find new rental accommodations. Unfortunately, this often means that children have to endure changing school districts, leaving behind friends and familiar surroundings. Starting over becomes unavoidable, adding to the difficulties these families face.

Transparency Financials

Our Commitment to Transparency & Accountability

At Saving Homes, we prioritize transparency and accountability in all aspects of our operations. We believe in the importance of financial stewardship and ensuring that donor contributions are utilized effectively to make a real difference in the lives of single parents facing foreclosure. As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency in our financial practices.

We ensure that the majority of funds go directly towards providing financial assistance, guidance, and resources to those who need it most. Your support enables us to make a tangible difference in the lives of single parents and their children, helping them overcome the challenges of foreclosure and maintain secure and stable homes.

Saving Homes was founded December 31st, 2022. In 2022 no donations or expense were made.

Saving Homes Foundation is a North Carolina nonprofit corporation operating through a fiscal sponsorship with Players Philanthropy Fund, a Maryland charitable trust recognized by IRS as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (Federal Tax ID: 27-6601178). Contributions to Saving Homes Foundation qualify as tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

The Fiscal Sponsorship provides an extra set of eyes on all accounting and financial reporting. The PPF Charity charges the Saving Homes Charity 6% of all donations made. This covers the many expenses all charities have around detailed accounting of donations, expenses, and bookkeeping.
